Nose reminds me of an Old Fashioned cocktail. On the palette, the primary fruit has mostly faded to an umami richness of licorice, juicy steak, and a drop of whiskey with orange zest. Med acid and tannin. Quite enjoyable, but for my taste I prefer younger, fruity Zins. Follow up: apparently this vineyard produces dark, brooding, un-fruity Zins. — 9 days ago
Great WA State Cab, had Calico from Bergevin and enjoyed it. Moonspell is on a another plane. Soft Tannins, dark red fruit, slight vanilla. Got it for under $15 online at Wine Library. — 15 days ago
Love the Whitehall Malbec. Very inky dark wine. Dark fruit. Vanilla note finish — 10 days ago

Blackouts are not “rolling” in Dallas. Power is just out forever. Opened this to make the evening a little better. I have power now, but I know it won’t last long. This wine is helping. A little funk on the nose. Herbal notes with a hint of spice on the finish. Don’t hold these for much longer. — 14 days ago
Full, Bold and plush. Made from Walla Walla grapes. Ripe fruit (plums and black cherry) aromas and flavors. Hints of black pepper, black olives and baking spices. Smooth tannins. Touch of blueberry on the finish. Fruit forward but not over the top. Just a bit hot out of the bottle so decant this one a bit. — 17 days ago
