Deep dark color, young cherry and amaretto nose. Full body, balanced, chocolate hints. Will be much smoother in 3 to 5 years. — 4 years ago
In a perfect spot. Chestnut, truffle, forest floor, potpourri and dried cherry and strawberry on the nose. Plenty of beautiful and lively fruit on the palate. Red berries, amaretto, roasted meat, toasted cocoa and earth. More minty and herbal on day two, but hasn’t faded a bit. One of the finest aged bottles I’ve had- really exquisite. This bottle has special meaning for me because it is one of the first wines I ever bought intentionally to cellar. Two bottles left. — 5 years ago

Elegant as all get out. I can’t get over Palo Cortado, even with its shady requirement to be called “Palo Cortado”—pretty sure some are no more accidental “failed Finos” than chocolate chip cookies were a ‘whoops I dropped chocolate in the dough’—but that matters not. Mixed nuts and lemon and amaretto don’t sound like things I’d want to consume all at once but they are elements of this wine I love all at once. — 5 years ago

Amaretto, pineapple, ginger, fruit tart, warm confectioner’s sugar. — 6 years ago

Complex right after uncorking and gets better. Consistently good. Great value. Buttery in mouth. Slight amaretto aroma
with fig, raisin, ripe banana, toffee, hazelnut, hint of orange peel in nose and palate. — 2 years ago
Wow! Super cold: thick in amaretto + bourbon + brandy… profile of a finely mixed cocktail. — 4 years ago
Light almond colored wine with amaretto, raisin and hazelnut on the nose. Licorice almond, chestnut with a light body and a sweet finish. — 4 years ago
amaretto lemon pastry with a zip 🤌🏻 — 5 years ago
Sweet and concentrated. Really wonderful syrah character with pipe tobacco, amaretto and cherry cobbler. Only complaint is this is not very refreshing. Very extracted and a mouth stainer. — 5 years ago
Rich ripe cherry with hints of mint, graphite, cherry coke, amaretto on the nose. Kirsch, vanilla, Dr. Pepper, cranberry on the palate with mildly puckering white tea and hints of powdered sugar on a medium finish with delicately polished tannins. Classic varietal characteristics but very nicely done. — 6 years ago
A likely final visit with an old friend from my 2013 France trip. A touch oxidized but still loaded with raspberry, licorice, olive, and a touch of amaretto. Big but harmonious. — 7 years ago
Whoa! This was somewhat unexpected. Aromas of blood orange rind, black cherries and fecal matter...but in a good way...just gotta trust me on this one. Dark cherry liqueur, amaretto, anise, clove, and nutmeg on the palate. Kinda wild stuff actually. The 15% ABV isn’t a surprise considering the amount of power in the glass but it’s really well hidden. Fascinating expression from Uccelliera. — 8 years ago
Heidi is queen. Dark cherry, cassis. Amaretto Tobacco richness. Heaven — 2 years ago
Ruby-grenat dress. Open nose, red and black fruits, cedar, tobacco. Medium+ powerful, supple body. Medium + final. Beautiful shades, black plum fruits, fig. Melted breeding notes. caramel, almond, amaretto, charcoal, tar. At its peak

Soaks into my palate like a good body lotion to the skin, nourishing and moisture-rich but absorbs right in without any residue. In fact, the more you use (drink?) the dewier and more golden and perfect you appear, is the this the BB cream of wines? I dunno but it is beautiful and you are too.
Also there is an almond nature that haunts me as I have sense memories of an extraordinary hair conditioner that smelled of amaretto.
Okay actual notes: golden in color (duh) medium plus nose of ripe yellow plum, apricot, flowers and honeycomb, on the palate (omg what a silky) medium plus body, dry, medium acid, all the aforementioned flowers with a bit of herbs tossed in to boot. It has a small and friendly bite no more threatening than a friendly kitten. Long finish and like I said it starts unctuous then seamlessly soaks in leaving only the aroma and memory which (if your glass is full enough) you fortunately can revisit. Just to be sure. — 6 years ago
