We had the 2007 Vintage on 2/21/26. An excellent aged Brunello. Leather, tobacco, raspberry, and rose petals. All the expected scents and flavors are there. I am glad we had this now; probably not going to be good much longer — 4 months ago
2024/7/20-21. Aromatically this starts out pretty brown - lots of toasted spice and earth. With air it does show flashes of the deep, smoky cherry one might expect, and it’s still very enjoyable, but I can’t help wonder if this bottle (which I bought on sale) might have been a little worse for wear. I usually love Graci’s wines, and something felt a bit off… — 2 years ago
Tonight I am enjoying the 2018 Torrione Petrolo Val D'Arno Di Sopra Petraviva Rosso. Super Tuscan from Bucine, Italy. A blend of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
On the nose we have blackberry, cherry, black olive, anise, dried roses, cedar, tobacco, leather and earth.
On rhe palate is red cherry, raspberry, blackberry, red currant, cassis, wild herbs, spice, pencil shavings and earth.
This wine is full bodied supple and very delicious medium + to high acidity and medium + to high firm sandy mouthcoating tannins that leave you with a long red and black fruit herbaceous finish. A new week again is upon us with many new and exciting challenges. Lets meet these challenges head on and make it a fruitful experience. Please stay safe and healthy and enjoy the week. Strong tannins feel. Cherry notes. Feel the spice in the aftertaste — 2 months ago
Last of three bottles of this. It’s never been the fruitiest or friendliest Brunello. And it’s still quite tannic, but it’s resolving well and, in my view, at its peak. To wait longer for the remaining tannins to fully drop would be at the expense of the remaining fruit. Color is going brown at the rim. Nice intensity and decent balance right now. Mostly tertiary notes, but there is a core of morphing fruit underneath. Should go well with the Tuscan beef stew (Peposo) I’m making. — 5 months ago

Yassssss! Just as good. Lacks the grip of some competitors but it maintains its balance. The fruit is so pure, lifted, and fresh. — 5 years ago
What a beauty. Big red fruits. — 3 months ago
2023 vintage, deep cherry and floral aromas on the nose, light fruit forward taste with a smooth finish; decently balanced Sangiovese, great pairing with bolognese. — 3 months ago
Needs a 45 minute decant. Don’t pop and pour.
Nose: complex. Dense. Yellow fruits. A bit brooding. Almost dark minerals.
Palate: delicious. Such dense yellow fruits. Dense minerals. Dense and insane internal aromatics. So night and juicy but in a serious way. Mohammed Ali (float like a butterfly….)
Long long long long long.

We quite liked this, 2021, bottling in 2024. Label does not say “Sangiovese” or “blend” just Vino Rosso but otherwise the same label, the front has an Angel with a torch. Unique scent noticeable, not unpleasant. — 2 years ago

100% Sangiovese.
Well balanced. Dark fruit, a bit herbaceous. A little bit of a bite but overall medium round.
