Drinking beautifully! At its apogee, wafting a spiced red fruit, black tea and potpourri perfume with a generously structured but ethereal palate, fine grained tannins and superb persistence. Very expressive and in a great spot. — 2 months ago

Medium deep garnet, ruby core with medium light garnet rim . This is quite meaty and deep on the nose , with earthy dark cherry , porcini , sweet blackberry and spiced sous bois . On the palate this is quite severe and serious , darker fruits , ripe blackberry , cherry and hint of blackcurrant, herbal hints. Quite gritty , slightly drying tannins , fresh acidity . Earthy , dusty dark cherry edged finish , ok medium length. Quite ambitious for a village and arguably not ready yet , tannins need a little more time to integrate. Back at Le Cap where we discovered our wine of the year 2024 (Biondi Santi). This year going with a sommelier recommended Vosne Romanee (our go to red burgundy). Initial impression was “wow it’s another wine of the year contender” with notes of white truffle, strawberry ice cream and strawberry jam. Softer and more delicate than other Vosne’s we’ve tasted but after 3 hours of being open the taste dropped off at the end, so only a 9.7. — a month ago

Original price tag, this Crozes-Hermitage is really remarkable (I believe La Guiraude is a special cuvée?), meaty, smoky, classic aged French Syrah, long finish, amazingly this was the most ready to drink of these wines I’ve been posting tonight, and the favorite of at least one of our 6 tasters tonight!! With all that said, if anyone has bottles of this wine, it’s fully mature. — 2 months ago

Prachtige Sauternes. Deze jaargang is geweldig, met een heerlijke balans door de mooie zuren. Waar ik over het algemeen geen groot fan ben van Sauternes, heb ik hier ontzettend van genoten! Gedronken om onze eerste plaats te vieren voor het NK blindproeven. — 2 months ago
