Hofberg Riesling 2020

Chiseled and stony. Lime and slate. Acid in spades. Blind tasters were leaning Albariño and I don’t blame them. Uncharacteristic for the hotter/fatter vintage. Can’t find a lot on this wine and don’t know if “Hofberg Reserve” is an entirely different bottling than “Hofberg”. — 13 days ago

Dhron Hofberg Trocken Riesling 2009

Very nice and somewhat confusing wine, very tropical and especially it tastes a little like young dry Sauternes. But what a treat! — 9 months ago

Casas De Enriba Laura Lorenzo Mencía Godello 2020

@delectable this was the “Erea do Pobo.” Blend of godello and some other stuff. Beautiful wine, lots of citrus and a tinge of tropical with white flowers, mineral cut and curious herbaceous finish, a little like pine resin maybe — 3 months ago

Ali Toscana Sangiovese Rosato 2023

Delectable Wine
9.1

Tangerine peel, grapefruit, kiwi fruit and grass clippings rush forth as the 2023 Rosato Ali unfurls in the glass. Expressive, cheerful and open for business, the Ali is light on its feet but neatly framed. Just the right amount of spice-inflected bitterness wraps up the finish. $20.00 (Billy Norris, Vinous, June 2024) — 10 months ago
