Enjoyed with Pat’s spaghetti. Enjoyed again with lamb stuffed acorn squash ($16) Enjoyed more with Swedish meatballs in September — 2 years ago
Gift from Dave and Anita. Almost a brown hue to it. Wow! Delicious! Almost no fruit. I taste tobacco and wet rock. Very mellow and smooth. Will be great with beef tenderloin, grilled onion and acorn squash — 3 years ago
Quite nice with lamb stuffed acorn squash ($13) — 2 years ago
Gorgeous amber with orange evokes fine scotch. Tortoise shell lacing materializes. Orange bread and toasted sesame, Marcona almond, plantain and butternut squash pencil in the autumnal details. Poppyseed, toasty malt, allspice, acorn squash bread and a touch of ginger spice. Forgot what a seasonal treat this is!

2007 | Birthday weekend for my lovely wife.
Similar to notes from our recent 2005 pull, but the fruits are more muddled/commingled on the nose. Generous on the nose & palate; abbreviated notes.
Paired with baked pork tenderloin chops, glazed with Dijon mustard, garlic, rosemary, panko & Parmesan; roasted acorn squash with Za'atar, pomegranate molasses & lemon juice.
Decanted 2H at the time of notes. — 2 years ago
We’re pausing on goodness and hope today. We hold so much gratitude in our hearts for our loved ones and their presence in our lives. We want to share a heartfelt thanks to you all who’ve supported and inspired us day in and day out. 🙏🙏💕💕
Today we had a vegan Thanksgiving bowl of roasted carrots, acorn squash, brussels sprouts, and broccoli, along with mashed yams, potatoes, toasted pecans, pomegranate, cranberry sauce (with orange zest), and thyme-spiced gravy. 🍁🍁🍁
With it we paired a couple of options each of which went well with the flavors, textures, and elements of the meal… here’s the Syrah…
Lionel Faury, Côte-Rôtie, 2018. ABV 13%. Comprised of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier, from the Northern Rhône Valley, France. Matured 18 months in oak, 30% of which was new. The oak maturation comes across on the nose and palate with notable vanilla, cedar, butterscotch, and caramel notes. Also notes of blackberry, black cherry, plum, black licorice, violet, pepper, smoke / matchstick, and clay pot. 👌👌 — 3 years ago
Not too strong, nicely balanced - leather, cedar, touch of smoke. Pairing with smoked sockeye and acorn squash. Works well — 4 years ago
