Domaine des Tourettes Hermitage Syrah

Wine pairing for our anniversary dinner at this Relais & Châteaux property

Too young and also in a sleepy phase. The decant helped bring it around after about an hour but it was not at its best, could easily go 95 when it's open for business. Some meaty notes, with elegant red fruits, and oak that was fairly well integrated. 94-97 when it comes around?

God damn holy shit, this was fucking good. Tourette's, get it?! Okay yeah it was pretty good.

A bit tart and slightly bitter. Good dark fruit perhaps in a few years it will smooth out.

A bit sweaty but nice. Fruit is showing through and this is a good age. I'm surprised I'm enjoying this wine as much as I am.

Nice purity & richness showing black fruits, olive, savory spice, pepper & violet. Youthful with a silky texture.

Love this wine .. so good with roasted acorn squash stuffed with apples, sausage and Parmesan! 👌🏻🍷

Cracked open an owc tonight to see what this was like. Rich, full bodied with nice structure showing good balance & length. Notes of dark fruits, meat, pepper, mineral, dried herbs, smoke & tobacco.
