Not something to have after a flight of Nebbiolos. Over the top extraction, muscular and powerful. Dusty black fruit and firm chewy tannins. — 7 years ago
Still great acidity, soft tannins with earthy notes, leather, stewed tomatoes, plums. For something 53 years old, it still has the goods. — 7 years ago
Great baked/yeasty aromas. Lemon custard flavors and even a bit of tannins in the finish. — 7 years ago
Infanticide! Young, showing nicely. Asphalt, bright red fruit, baking spices. — 7 years ago
One of the hotter vintages so it's tasting pretty good despite the youth. Soft tannins, great red berry fruit flavors, soft tobacco and elegant acidity. I could drink this all night. — 7 years ago
A lively fresh grower champagne. A briney aroma with notes of brioche. Delicate flavors of salted caramel custard and baked apples. — 7 years ago
Shows well for the vintage. Tar, earth and lean red fruit. Note of smoky tobacco and a smooth tannic finish. — 7 years ago
Still firm tannins but elegant, earthy truffle, leathery with fresh acidity. — 7 years ago
My previous comments still apply. Takes a little time to open up, and a little hot initially, but otherwise still earthy and having a distinct black olive umami note and loads of acidity. Where were these wines when we were traveling through SW France. — 7 years ago

On the downhill side of its peak. Dried mushrooms, cola and dark cherry. Still good acidity and a bit of fruit. — 6 years ago
