With There’s Chris tasting menu at River Twice 1/3/26. Not particularly outstanding but decent enough pairings. Food was great. This dessert pairing didn’t quite work — 5 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2023 Chassange-Montrachet 1er Cru “Abbaye de Morgeot” pours a pale straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of freshly struck match, green apple, star fruit, Meyer lemon, white flowers, gentle warm spices and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and mineral laden. Brilliant stuff with a long life ahead. Just, wow. Drink now through 2048. — a month ago
