Did my best to prep this given my experience with the first two bottles (refer previous notes) - opened about 10 hours before to blow off the heavy reduction, which worked; and stood up overnight and eventually decanted off heavy sediments prior to drinking to bring more clarity to the flavours, which worked too. All that prep brought out some intense fruit concentration and savoury meatiness, but alas the volatile acidity was too strong for me in this bottle. RL and AH liked it though.

Nov 5th, 2022Ok ok. This was good. If anything, this shows the variability in Marc's wines. Or maybe I was just too impatient the first time round. Anyway, I opened this begrudgingly on Friday after the horrendous bottle of the same wine the day before. Honestly, I just wanted reparation. Definitely didn't find it right away though, with the animale character overpowering all else again. So I corked it back and chucked it straight into the fridge for Sunday's Christmas party.
Come Sunday - boom! Concentrated blackberries and raspberries, which are candied almost (probably imparted by some carbonic maceration), dried florals, spice, grilled meat, and still a whiff of barnyard funk and volatile acidity. Rhone-like volume and structure. Nice acidity to counter-balance the dense, sweet fruit. Compared to the other two Delienne wines opened after, this had the ripest impression. A wine of the vintage for me, but does retain good energy and "drinkability".

Double whammy. Sigh. An oxidised Dauvissat and an excessively wild Delienne. Volatile, but not as much as the 17' Pierreux I had last week. To be frank, I could have looked past the VA, but it was the animale characters that got to me. Probably brett since a huge decant and couple of hours of air made it worse. The palate was considerably dense and if you aren't distracted by the funk, there's some syrupy black fruit characters and juicy acidity. Not for me this time.

Dec 17th, 2021Really nice and rich profile. Licorice comes through notably on the nose. Tannins are noticeable but not overpowering. Only negative note is a bit of a young taste
