Dr. Bürklin-Wolf

Ungeheuer Riesling 2015

Lyle Fass

Been about a year. Lovely, expressive nose, citrus, tangerine, pink grapefruit, salty minerals, an airiness, class and depth. Chewy, textured and super mineral. Wow. Awesome concentration and purity. Deep, mouth coating and very elite. Really expansive and pure. This has picked up weight and depth in a year. Chewy, dense and structured with lovely minerality and a playful citrus core. So so long. Fantastic. — a day ago

Brut Rosé 2019

Love this-one of my favorite sparkling rose wines of all time. Amazing find in north Georgia. Well balanced with a mix of ripe berries without being cloyingly sweet or without the sometimes dry after taste from other sparkling rose wines. — 23 days ago

Wolf Blass

Reserve Release Red Blend 2013

Got this from a friend and forgot it was on the wine rack. Dark berries on the nose with raspberry seeming prominent. Mid palate tasted a bit sweeter as cherry flavors started to come out. Smooth finish and medium to even slightly medium low tannins that make this very drinkable. — a month ago

Armagh Vineyard Syrah

Big, bold nose of barnyard, hay and heel.

Weighty, flavorful - smoked mushrooms, seitan, herbaceous and thoughtful. High persimmon peek acidity that is smoothed out perfectly with the tannins. Delicious.

Wachenheimer Belz Dry Riesling 2011

Not the big, fruity riez I seek but very good. Petrolium, kime n some mineral w a little tropix very balanced. Not very long but hey. Fair acididi. Very tasty n good. Especially for price. — a month ago

Ernst Loosen Pinot Gris 2010

Very pale color, lots of minerals and some stone fruit aromas. Bright, but medium acid compared to the Hugel Pinot Blanc, more fruity sweetness that gives a rounder body. Less lingering minerals. Pairing with pasta and lots of fresh tomatoes and garlic for Meatless Monday! #gotm2020 — a month ago

Austin Hope

Templeton Gap District Paso Robles Syrah

Black cherry compote, graphite, toffee & earthy spice notes. Something i can’t put my finger in that’s inbetween mint or eucalyptus clippings that were picked from the garden where you can still smell the soil. fine-grained tannins, heady acidity, and apologetically full-bodied. Someone seriously knows what they’re doing here — best syrah i’ve had all year by miles. — a day ago

The Den Chenin Blanc 2017

I thought is was a nice crisp citrus with good body and acidity. It actually held up well with a pork chop and sauerkraut. — 4 days ago

Luna Matta Nebbiolo 2011

Young, no need to rush to drink. The 2006 and 2008s are still drinking well. Stil a bit primary. Slightly more fruit forward cherry, leather, and violet flavors. Pnp today bit I recommend decanting prior to drinking or more aging. — a month ago

From the fire sale so great price. Cola, cherries, baking spice, forest floor. Great with food. Overall very solid and going strong. — a month ago
