It’s Miller time. Well…actually Billecart time. I like this more than I buy it. One of good cuvées easily found in 375ml.
The body creamy, layered, nice c02, bruised golden & green apple, ripe Bosc pear, pineapple flesh, tropical melons-mango driven, lime & lemon zest, cream soda, cream, white spice-ginger, bread, yeast, brioche, soft but grainy moist chalkiness, sea spray/fossils, slightly chard sourdough toast, wet/softened alluvial, limestone, wet river stone, notes of flintiness, yellow lilies, white orchids, fruit blossoms, jasmine, rainfall acidity, excellent balanced fruit & earth, tension, structure with a juicy two-minute polished finish that falls onto beautiful minerality.
BTW, home grown tomatoes with Companion Bakery wheat sourdough, lightly toasted w/ olive oil, burrata, Tondo balsamic (stunning), olive oil & fresh basil never gets old. — 3 years ago
Medium lemon with aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus, floral and nutty tones. On the palate flavors ripe apple, apricot and pear with honeysuckle, toasted almond and sweet spice. Nice balance with acidity, long finish ending with fruit, floral spice and slight yeasty character. Very Nice! Tasting Sample. Tried twice! — 5 years ago
Lloyd made the rounds working at a bunch of renowned wineries, Cakebread, Stag’s Leap, La Crema & Rombauer where he gained Head Winemaker status before leaving in 2008 to start his own project, Lloyd Cellars. Fruit sourced from blocks in Sangiacomo & Truchard Vineyards, aged for 10 months in new American oak. Aromas of ripe stone & tropical fruits, citrus and blossom notes. Palate has apple, pear & peach flavors with bits of citrus wrapped in a creamy texture. Long rich finish ending with slight toasty notes. Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago
Nice fruit and not overly osked. Very long finish. — 7 years ago

This is a great sparkling wine. It smells almost exactly like apple juice to me and the taste follows suit. I wrote in my notes “overwhelming apple,” but that is not a bad thing. I also got some pear and like toasted notes. Bubbles are lively, makes it fun to drink. Strikes a good balance between fresh and rich. — 7 months ago
When Lafon is on they’re so damn good and 2011 Genevrieres is superb, with notable density and concentration for the vintage, and perfectly developed for age 13, with a seamless balance of richness and elegance. It’s captivatingly aromatic with defined fruit, pastry cream and toasted macadamias layered in stony minerality, and the palate is so elegant and satiny with balanced acidity and a long, silky finale. Just gorgeous. — 2 years ago
8 years young and stunning, this Walla-Walla Chardonnay from the now shuttered Buty Winery was worth the wait. Enveloped in warm apple cobbler and toasted bread the scent flows right into a full mouth of American Chard delight. Light on new oak (a noted characteristic of Washington Chards) this delicious wine hits every point spot-on for me. The mint and lime finish carries on the flavor well, too. I’m going to miss the selections from Buty. They remain a solid favorite. — 4 years ago
Nose has oxidized red apple, warm ginger, butter croissant, light apple cider notes and toasted hazelnut.
Palate has buttered lemon mousse, green apple peel, pear flesh, dried ginger, crushed granite and faint carmel, warmed.
A very nice bottle, but not the same level as our last, a stunning 2005. — 6 years ago
Vanilla, subtle spice. Really good! — 7 years ago
Medium lemon gold , still some perlage. This is quite evolved on the nose , with candied peel, brioche , roasted nuts , brine and touch of porcini . On the palate this has good intensity , with high acidity . Creamy lemon peel , toasted nuts , brioche, and a mineral backbone . Quite persistent, lemon pith and chalky finish . At peak now and will continue over the next few years , though this won’t improve — a year ago
Wonderful nose, toasted almond, sherry, lemon, ripe pear. Oxidation is just right- not overwhelming, but adds to complexity and character. Slightly orange color, full bodied. Would love to know actual alcohol, label says 11-14%, but tears indicated higher alcohol, but very well balanced. Disgorged 14 November 2019. — 3 years ago

Medium lemon yellow . Quite closed at first , with some toasted brioche and touch of lemon peel , white flowers, stem ginger , quite rich impression . On the palate this is quite creamy and rounded , candied peel , honey , rich pastries , with quite high mineral tinged acidity . Good long , mineral tinged finish . Needs a bit more time though I don’t get the feeling this will be as profound or as long lived as the 2012. Better in 5 years and will continue to drink well a further 10. — 4 days ago
