Nickel & Nickel exclusively to produces 100% varietal, single-vineyard wines that express the distinctive personality of each vineyard. Established in 1997 by the partners of Far Niente. Aromas of stone fruit, floral and citrus. On the palate apple, melon and peach flavors, with lemon zest, vanilla and toasty notes. Nice balance with bright acidity on long finish with spicy rich oaky mineral ending. Classic CA Chard, very nice! — 2 months ago

Enjoyed today with takeout from the #2 restaurant on the island (#1 was paired with the DuMOL Chloe 2015). I will definitely say that this wine is a little more full bodied and a little rounder than the DuMOL but it just didn't seem to be as dynamic. Enters with a lot of round character, but then goes to more of an acidic presentation as it goes to the mid-palate. Tart lemon creme brulee seems to be the number 1 note here. There is an herbal presence towards the finish. Even though this was last year's release, it still needs 2-3 years in bottle to really express itself. Still after about an hour it really did show more intensity and complexity and went well with redfish, crab, crawfish and calamari. Definitely better with food, whereas the 15 Chloe would have mopped the floor with or without anything. If you're going to drink this one now, you might as well just put this in a decanter for 2-3 hours beforehand. Or cellar through 2030, with the peak probably sometime in 2025. — 18 days ago
This is my first Carmenere since I visited Chili in 2015. Aged in older barrels so no strong oak or vanilla notes but still noticable. Medium-bodied with plumb and chocolate notes. Pleasant and very drinkable. I wonder how this grape will express itself without the oak aging. — 3 months ago
Soft, jammy and so expressive. The color would suggest something along the lines of a Cab, but that soft expert landing on the palette is the like the grace of a 747 touching down like a feather floating onto a blade of grass. Jammy hits all the feels in the red fruit express this one delivers. Pair with a nice steak - and enjoy! — 16 days ago
The 2016 Geremia is a total knock-out. An exotic mélange of sweet dark cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice, spice and menthol races out of the glass. The 2016 is deep, dense and full of character. It is also easy to drink with minimal cellaring. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon work so well here in the way they express richness and structure, all with a real sense of Tuscan raw power. Very pale ruby lightly cloudy color. Almost seems like a Rosé. Very Pinot Noirish #Garnacha #Spain #spanishwine with Coravin it didn’t express all its nuances. Once uncorked it had fine red fruit and cedar and sweet smoke aromas and flavors. Interesting. — 3 months ago
