Really great tart fruit, some good spice, little early to drink but the case came home to the house… lovely wine!!!! — a month ago
The 2013 Smith Haut Lafitte probably has one over the Domaine de Chevalier at the moment: a little more fruit and amplitude, certainly more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, one of the spiciest Pessac-Léognan wines, yet there is just a scintilla of under-ripeness right on the finish. But at least there's personality in situ. Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year On tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2023)

We had the 2010 Vintage on 8/19-20/23. A wonderful wine. Full bodied but still Old World. The bouquet was very Bordeaux with aroma of graphite, tobacco and cigar box. Blackberry, plum on the palate. Real good for a second label — a month ago
Lovely stone fruit, minerals in the middle and a dry finish. Unusual to get a Reisling from Napa, but this is nicely done. — 3 months ago

Vintage 2010 | Explosion of red summerfruits, blackberries and cherries. Slight spicyness. Laurel. Plums. Eucalyptus. Rich vanilla taste from aging on new barrels. Much power and still very well balanced. Presents itself with conviction. — 5 days ago
