Château Smith Haut Lafitte

Grand Cru Classé de Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Aromas of mint, dried herbs with cassis and black plum. A medium weight palate which is dusty, resolved, balanced and beautiful. Finishes with slinky, silky tannins. Mature Bordeaux from a good district and producer is hard to beat. Happy Bastille Day - we drank this on Sunday. — 2 days ago

Smith Madrone

Spring Mountain District Riesling 2017

Helping a chef with a Smith Madrone tasting. This is a very nice Riesling that exhibits apples, peach and some bartlett pear. Just a bit of acidity and you will get a fair hint of oil on the nose, not in a bad way. We gave it a good 1 hr decant and didn't serve it too chilled. Light acidity and a full mouthfeel. 7 year bottle aged and drinking nicely. — a month ago

Smith Madrone

Spring Mountain District Chardonnay 2019

Golden in color, hints of green apple, lemon zest, orange peel and a nice acidity. Full bodied but not overly oaked. The finish lingers. Drinking nicely. — a month ago

Smith & Hook

Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Still a good cab but not as good as previous vintages. A bit unfortunate, but this wine has gone full blown super market class. — 4 months ago
