This is liquid stone. Sure, there is some pear-inflected green apple fruit, and a hint of pineapple, but screaming amounts of crushed rock, especially on the palate. Nice, but not overpowering, acidity. Lengthy finish. This is a graduate seminar in Loire geology in a glass. — 2 days ago
Such a smashing rendition of a SB. I can’t think of anything else quite like this on the market today.
The acidity is relaxing, suggesting that you should consider consuming these now. — 3 days ago
Great sauv blanc. Beguiling honeysuckle and green tropical fruit, pear, kiwi. Very generous, comparatively round and textured for Sancerre but still high acid. This will age well.
Unsurprisingly, even better on day 2. A riot of fruit aroma.

At nearly 7 years old, the 2015 Pascal Jolivet Sancerre pours a golden color. On the nose, notes of bruised apple, ripened pear, honey and pineapple upside down cake. On the palate, bruised red apple, Bartlett pear, honey and clove. Decent acid. Long finish. I don’t usually age Sancerre…but I dig the expression that some age has brought. I paired very well with chicken fried rice. Drink now…unless you want to see how far it goes, you know, for science. — 12 days ago
While being a HUGE wine - making you want to brush your teeth after a glass!!! - this wine is remarkably silky and smooth with vanilla, black cherries, and well integrated tannins. An absolutely wonderful experience today, but clearly still on the upswing of its maturity curve. — 12 days ago

Medium gold, explosive aromas of ripe pineapple , lychee, kumquat and green melon. The wine is rich, nearly viscus, and packing serious weight. Long, sweet but balanced, mid-palate. Close to over-the-top in richness, but the flavors carry the day. A long way from Sancerre, but a style and food-friendliness that I have to acknowledge. At times I wasn’t sure, but finished the bottle….. and smiled! — 4 days ago
