Chablis Vieilles Vignes Chardonnay 2017

This may be the best straight Chablis AOC I’ve had. Classic nose has copious amounts of ripe, apply fruit, loads of fresh, homemade brothy notes, and sweet crushed, moist limestone minerality. Packed with flavor and intensely minerally in the mouth. Just round-textured liquid stones. Nice acids for a modern era Chablis. Lip-smackingly intense. What a value. Wish I got more of this. — 11 days ago

Cinematique Larner Vineyard Syrah 2018

So juicy and like velvet on the palate. The nose does not overpower but still makes an impact. Needed to decant at all! — 18 days ago

Réserve de Léonie Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2017

Blend of 60% Grenache & 40% Syrah. Medium Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of raspberry and plum, some spice and balanced acidity. Rustic tannins, medium finish ending with berry notes. — 7 days ago

"The Prospect" Sierra Madre Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

A lovely clove and raspberry, maybe some stone. Very nice acidity. My third pinot noir from Paul Lato Wines. The best: still "The Prospect". But maybe in three years... — 4 days ago

Delicious and dense. A bit over extracted? Still killer with a skirt steak. — a day ago

Chavignol Sancerre Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

Nose has sliced early season cherry, freshly cut hay field, dry chalk, cold raspberries and orange zest.

Palate has dried raspberries, ripe tart cherry, warm sourdough bread, moist limestone and orange peel. A very fun wine, 2020 vintage, the first we've had not a Nouveau!

Pre-birthday dinner for our dear COVID bubble friend; we've only allowed one of our close friends into the house for almost the past year, tonight we're celebrating that he's one year older than me. 😉

Montmains Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2017

Hits all the right buttons. Racy mouth watering acid, with lemon peel, seashell and biscuit notes. Hard to imagine a better example of 1er Cru at this price. — 10 days ago
