2015 Jabolet Domaine de Thalabert Crowe’s Hermitage—Earthy/mineral nose with dark, juicy fruit aromas. Very dry with blackberries and cassis, licorice, black pepper. Ripe fruit entry that expands mid palate, mouth filling with firm structure and fine grained tannins. Long, lingering finish. A memorable wine.

2010 vintage... deep, dark and brooding but just beginning to open. Full, savory and dense with great acidity and texture.

A little primary when opened. Classic notes of black pepper and olive. Sat for about an hour and developed this amazing roasted blackberry and juniper spice that kept lingering. Hauntingly good.

Good. Oak still a bit dominant, and unlikely to reduce in presence I suspect. And it ain't cheap. But it's good.

2001 just perfect for a baked chicken/Brussel sprouts/acorn squash dinner. Oh wow.
