Blend of 76 percent Zinfandel with 16 percent Carignane, 6 percent Petit Syrah, 2 percent Alicante Bouschet. Blackberry, plum and some earthiness on the palate. February 2026. — 18 days ago
Wow, so big, so fruity, a bit sugary. It’s old school cool, like a true OG CA Zinfandel. — 9 days ago
Last had 4 years ago and was excited to check in - this didn’t disappoint. That perfect ridge mix of old world sensibility and composition with new world fruit and character. 13.8%. Finish is long with nice acid. Great pairing with steaks. Nice wine.

Always so refined, with a beautiful amber color and bold nose of crunchy, ripe yellow fruit. Nose has notes of lemongrass, fennel and lemon rind, and like, moth balls, or something that reminds one of grandma’s house potpourri. Medium to full bodied, with a bold mouthfeel, notes of overripe opal apple, golden fig, latex, hints of pineapple and amber, and a loooong finish that sizzles with energy long after the sip is finished. — a month ago

One of my absolute favorite California wines. The California Latour. ‘97 is superb—vividly detailed and complex with both power and elegance. A masterful balance of fruit, tertiary character and cooling acidity with a silky palate and melting tannins. Hard to beat for a Wagyu pairing. — 5 days ago
