Kröver Letterlay Spätlese Trocken Mosel Riesling 2021

**

n:
smoke. Pulverized slate.laser minerals.

P: bright acidity. Huge minerals. Hints of lemon.

Needs an hour decant.

Then petrified lemon and lemon flower pulverized to a pure, filigreed powder. Gorgeous. Almost a wee bit of elegant savoriness on the finish.

Havlin Vineyard Chardonnay 2019

N: Very grassy, stony, a hint of pineapple coming through.Mineral, almost the beachyness* of Chablis or…Manzanilla.
P: Subdued Green apple, crunchy, some salt, Interesting wood on the palate from combination of French & Oregonian oak.
It’s there, but not interfering. No but-tah.
Delicious, snappy, refreshing.

Château Hosanna

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Delectable Wine
9.5

The 2017 Hosanna was one of my favourite crus from Ets J-P Moueix from barrel. Now in bottle, it remains a delightful Pomerol. It has a generous and beautifully defined bouquet with ample red cherry, crushed strawberry and light black truffle aromas that are actually reminiscent of Bélair-Monange. The palate is medium-bodied but denser, thicker than its peers. There is real substance to this Hosanna that puts the relatively lightweight Certan-de-May in its place. It shows good grip with a saline finish. This is a deeply impressive Hosanna. Rejoice! (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2020)

Jessie James Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019

Pommard? Nope, Oregon.
N: lots of brown spice, Rhubarb, walks in the woods over fall leaves, brown sugar, a bit of pepper. You could huff this a longgg time.
P: Luscious going in, Big bright cherries and mineral, sapid, really sticky but not sweet, nice acidity, tuck some away if ya got.,Should be an ager. Better on day 2, more fruits, less cinnamon on the nose.

Château Cap Saint-Martin

Le Cabernet d'en Face Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Vintage 2016 | This wine developed itself fine with a few years cellar. Expressive cassis, decanted three hours, afterwards very good drinking with a good structure. Pierre Ardoin - a oenologist at the Bordeaux university - makes this wine with a wink to its more reputed colleague vintners on the other side of the Gironde river. | paired with bbq, incredible good p/q. — 4 years ago

Hyland Vineyard Riesling 2017

Decanted 3 hrs/Chilled 45min.
N: Dried honey,Apples, pears, butterscotch, pink grapefruit, mineral, Big nose that jumps out of the glass.
P: completely dry but tangy as all get out. Lots of grapefruit surrounded by rocks, prickly. mouth filling at the same time. Impression of fatness. Green, very refreshing. If one had the patience to lay some down….oh my. Raised at least partly in native Oregonian oak, that Martin Woods coopers. Not a trace on the wine.
