Martin Woods
Jessie James Vineyard Pinot Noir
Big nose of ripe cherry, dusty earth, woodshop, slight herbals, so so profound. Palate is juicy and ripe with great intensity. Round and juicy with terrific, elegant and pearly tannins. Long imprint of a finish. Riper than 21. Opulent but a restrained opulence.

Jan 12th, 2023The grand cru at Martin Woods and the 19 is a benchmark wine. Nose has dizzying spice and sour cherries. Gorgeous mineral tones. Layers of honey. Fields. Scenes in nature. Late spring it smells like. A stunning aroma. The palate is ridiculous. Pure velvet. But bright, tart and tangy but in such an off hand way. Wow this is juicy and so refined. There is the tiniest hit of opulence which really brings this home. Right at the beginning of the midpalate. Wonderful texture and oh so nimble. A fine line of structure ensures a long life.

1 person found it helpfulSep 2nd, 2022🍒, rasberries, lime, plenty of tannins left, really well made, essentially like a red burgh at a much better price. In my quest to move on from the overpriced burgs this is a clear winner. Not like an Enderle & Moll they just have an additional twist to their Black Forest Wines. But as a Burgh killer oh yes. 13.2% only!

Sep 3rd, 2023Burgundy comes to Oregon.
N: Svelte cherries that died and went to heaven. Slight cranberry, soil tinged wood.It has that quality of tiny red berries being popped between your fingers.
P: Silky Smoothness, acid on the long finish. Mid bright, not red nor brown. Mid -lighter weight, still has some grip.
An excellent partner to citrus, paprika braised chicken and leeks. Consistently calls you back for more.
Given time and air, the rewards are huge.
Thanks@FassSelections

N: lots of brown spice, Rhubarb, walks in the woods over fall leaves, brown sugar, a bit of pepper. You could huff this a longgg time.
P: Luscious going in, Big bright cherries and mineral, sapid, really sticky but not sweet, nice acidity, tuck some away if ya got.,Should be an ager. Better on day 2, more fruits, less cinnamon on the nose.
thanks @Fasselections.
