Soft and supple with powdery tannins that don't distract from the plum and light blueberry. Very pleasant! — 11 years ago

Well, the label leaves a little to be desired but don't judge a book by its cover, right? Floral aromatics that I would never have expected from a 60 merlot/20 cab franc/20 cab sauv wine. Soft, tiny tannins with light balanced acidity. Very good — 11 years ago

Right out of the bottle (plus 6 hours later) a BIG ripe strawberry nose, blended with oak. This wine has "legs"; a quality that seems lost on American wines. Due to that, the viscosity is quite silky and medium-bodied with lovely cherry, tannins, acid and a hint of oak on the palate. Drink or hold this great wine! — 11 years ago

Yes it's beer. Barleywine-style ale from a brewery actually on an Oregon Beach. This is the best barleywine in existence, from my experiences. Big Milk chocolate, cardamom, caramel, butterscotch and sweet whiskey notes, asparagus, (slight) green pepper. One of the most stunning beers you will ever experience. — 12 years ago

The next step up for Carignan (above L'Orangerie), this 70 merlot/20 cab sauv/10 cab franc shows a great black cherry nose blended with subtle oak. In 2013, it's time to open this up and enjoy. Beautiful claret color. — 11 years ago

An annual favorite of mine. Not heavy bodied enough for a Thanksgiving meal but a heck of a starter with appetizers. Beautiful aromatics, pleasant acidity with a balance of light peach and lemon on the palate. A must try! (in my opinion) — 11 years ago
