Pretty happy with this wine. A light red with some pepper, spice and good forward fruit. Pretty smooth. Nice legs on the glass but weak. I toured CDP years ago while stationed in Germany- I have very fond memories and enjoy this wine.

Dark cherry juice, Vosne spices, and game. Forey’s village level Vosne rouge are sourced from 1 ha of vines divided from 14 parcels scattered throughout northern Vosne-Romanée where the average vine age is around 40 years with the oldest planted in early 1940s, Guyot-trained at high vine density ~10k vines/ha. Partial (~50-60%) destemming after 3-4 days cold soak. Stainless steel fermented. Spontaneous malo and aged 18 months in foudre. No fining or filtering, sulfur’d only at bottling. — 13 days ago
