Opened at a restaurant where we surprised was given a private room. Breathed with decanter but was not the best when opened up. after about an hour of breathing it is more pleasant with some blue fruit and mineral and overall still abit bitter. not bad for new zealand — 2 years ago
Lemon zest, slate, with a touch of cream — a month ago
Pale lemon in colour. Flinty/struck match notes on the nose - initially citrus and with time more stone fruit. The palate is rich and opulent with grapefruit and white peach sharing the spoils. I have had limited experience with Coddington but this was flat out delicious. The winemaker suggests a short window of 2-4 years (hard to see it being better than it is right now ), whereas pros like JR take it through to 2031. An exceptional new world Chardonnay. — 3 months ago

I liked this more than I can remember liking a syrah. Restrained, well balanced, delicious. — 7 days ago
