Quarantadue 45 Barbaresco Barbera 2013

Very aromatic - Violets, juicy red and black cherries, tar, fuzzy tannin, high acid. This has a long life ahead 🍒🥀⚡️⛰🤤 — 2 months ago

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2016

Quite light/pale/feminine Nebbiolo. Nice tannin on the back end. Needs decanting at this point. Pretty crushable. — 6 months ago

Novantadue 92 Monvigliero Nebbiolo

Lyle Fass
9.4

@Delectable Wine this is Novantadue92 Monvigliero. Thanks!

Debut Monvig from Rattalino and it’s a knockout. Heavenly nose. Ripe, complex, sour cherries, high toned, perfumed. Mixture of dried and fresh roses and insane glorious spice. Dizzying. The greatness of Monvigliero shines through. 9.6.nose. Palate is just velvet. So concentrated and ethereal. Big tannins and just perfect balance. So elegant. A big wine but a total masterpiece. Plum, red and black cherries dominate. After some time it closes down but the finish lasts forever. Imprints on your palate. 9.4 for now but I see upside here.

Trentaquattro 34 Barolo Nebbiolo

While young-ish by Barolo standards, the 2012 Massimo Rattalino “Trentaquattro 34” Barolo is already in its prime. Both right out of the bottle as well as after a quick decant, one can literally smell, taste, and FEEL it coming to life. With every sniff, sip & swallow it seems this fine example of Nebbiolo evolves from something juicy and joyful into a much thicker and complex character. For its price, if you can find one of these- have at it. Wonderful juice. — 6 months ago
