Michaud Vineyard Pinot Noir 2010

I haven’t had a bottle of this before so I can’t talk about its evolutionary curve. But it’s pretty damn good right now. nose has lots of sweet humus (not hummus, people), baking spice, cola syrup, dark cherry extract. Intense in the mouth, it’s got no tannin left, and while the fruit is mature and subdued, there’s a low-toned sweetness that plays off the savory elements. Very nice. — 2 months ago

Columbia Valley Riesling 2019

So surprised at how much I like this. It is dry so I think that helps a lot — 3 months ago

Cuvée Ad Vitam Touraine Vieilles Vignes Red Blend 2011

Vintage 2009 | a true to type Touraine, certainly not a middle of the road wine. Made from 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Cot. Now eleven years old but still with a certain stubbornness, though one can call this character as well ☺️ I put it a few hours in the decanter and then it went well with a porc cotelet and fresh green beans. A smell with cherries, flint, vanilla, a robust taste with only a slight velvet impression. I like these ‘difficult’ wines that play hard to get. — 3 months ago

An easy drinking wine that set stage for the real stars to shine and was a good backdrop to a beautiful lightening show

Eclat de Silex Vieilles Vignes de Sauvignon Touraine Chenonceaux

Vintage 2014 | I did not know this wine, but it thoroughly impressed me. A smell with loads of minerals and an explosion of passionfruit. Sauvignon Blanc it is. Well balanced and harmonious. A ‘ trouvaille ‘. Paired with a pumpkin / cheese ovendish. This Loire wine makes me extremely happy. If you are in the neighborhood of Chenonceau, never forget to visit the Château. — 2 months ago

Love the wines from DeLarche - great pull!

Michaud

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet is vinted in a different style from the Michauds’ other offerings. It has medium tannins, just enough to give it a slightly chewy structure. Pepper spices greet the palate up front, followed by bright blueberry fruits. The finish has a touch of creaminess to it. — 6 months ago
