Needs air at this young age but quickly hits its stride. Really fragrant, with zesty, ripe berries, spice, a yeasty, fresh bread note, and mineral-flecked turned gravel. Loads of upfront fruit, but in a dry package with zingy acids. Slight bitter note complements the fruit. So pure tasting and food flexible. Textbook. — 6 months ago
"This 2016 vintage is not new Barolo. It's old Barolo, from the town of Serralunga, a star among the sub zones of the Alba appellation. The winemakers Luciano and Walter described themselves as traditional to the bone, using native yeast organic biodynamic farming, and Slovenian larger style oak barrels. He'll taste the tar, plus black cherry, leather, rust and forest floor." — 2 years ago

Wow...this is Barolo? Tatsted blind we were completely somewhere else. Dark and brooding this is a great wine. Dark fruits and leather...something like a highly concentrated balsamico. Very impressive. Served with pizza from the grill...yummy! — 18 days ago
