Excellent Northern Rhône producer!

Bonaccorsi

J.L. Bonaccorsi Pinot Noir

Beautifully aged Pinot. No baby fat left here, just pure structure and flavor. Pristine cherry, wet concrete, dried herbs, and moist earth. Amazing balance and length. — 6 months ago

J.L. Chave Sélection Hermitage Blanche Marsanne Roussanne 2005

17. Not at same level as 2012. But this is my last bottle of 2005. And it’s very good. — a month ago

J.L. Chave Sélection Farconnet Hermitage Syrah 2015

Good but was expecting more. Stewed fruits and spice on nose. Muddled fruit, bacon grease, smoke wrapped around a huge core with gritty tannins. Biggest wine we’ve had in a while. Worked well with TKs ‘Stroganoff’ braised short ribs with mushroom cream sauce. — 4 months ago

“Good but was expecting more.” That’s the Rhône for ya!

Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2020

Nice inexpensive dry rosé. Perfect for summer evenings — a month ago

Château Montrose

J.L. Charmolue Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 1991

Vintage 1991 | The year with the devastating 20 April frosts… but Montrose escaped because it lies close to the river. Very much alive and kicking. Italian roofs colour. Classic smell with figs, cedar, leather, harmonious taste, vibrant. Happy! | With Chateaubriand | at restaurant Cas Pikaar in Hilvarenbeek — 2 months ago

From wife’s work; massive, could probably benefit from laying down a few years 🍷 — 6 months ago

Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir 2012

Had a few of these recently. A delicious and drinkable Yamhill AVA Pinot that tastes much better than it should on paper. Bold red berry fruits on the nose, medium-ish booze, spice, tannin and acidity in the mouth and a quite floral finish. This one makes you think a bit about what you tasted and preconceived biases. — 7 months ago
