Fantastic! Great fine mousse. First impression: big yummy yeast and not much fruit. Med+ acidity. After opening up for 45 minutes, less pronounced (but still significant) yeast, apple, pear, bell pepper, honey and cinnamon. Complex and very nice. — 4 months ago

This is still very pretty, lots of nice texture, nuance, impeccable balance. Confectionary, fennel seed and floral nose, mineral, tangy, licorice root palate. Still some freshness but it may be time to drink up. What a steal this was. — 4 months ago

I’m sorry but this wine for me was rather rustic and for the price I would not buy it again. The tannins were a little coarse and the finish was just medium. The aromas were more about the leather and earth and less about the fruit or spice. I have been fortunate enough to drink some great Crozes-Hermitage and small producers from Cote-Rotie lately that I believe are higher quality at lower prices. In short, if you buy this thinking you’re getting #Chave #Hermitage at a bargain price...you’re not. — 4 years ago
