Great single vineyard Carneros Chard. The juxtaposition of fresh and nutty flavor is just ingenious; raging from Mayer lemon to macadamia nuts and everything in between. The oak is well disguised. Lengthy finish. Visited and tasted several chards from The Hyde Vineyard and this definitely stars/stands out. Cheers. — a month ago
Very nice and approachable. Lets the Syrah shine with dark berries and wood. Was a good buy at $39. — 12 days ago
Kistler ‘Hyde Vineyard’ Chardonnay 2016: Full-bodied. Lively acidity. Creamy mouthfeel. Intense butter & toast aromas with rich flavors of citrus, butter, lemon curd, vanilla & oak. Long sophisticated finish. Wow, what an excellent wine. Really enjoyed this outstanding, full-palate Carneros Chardonnay (No. 1702 of 6480 bottles). Cheers🍷 — a month ago
Good but not great. Acquired via auction. Something about the acidity and tartness that held back the wine for me. — 2 months ago
Not my favorite Phelps Syrah. Not sure why…a bit rough around the edges…maybe older than I prefer???…I usually like this wine. — 14 days ago
Over ripe lemon, almond oil, wet stone, decent acidity. Some floral notes and a bit of salinity. Don’t drink much Cali chard, will drink this one. Bought several as part of a case of Massican. — 2 months ago

2017 vintage. Underrated producer, regardless of the varietal. — 17 days ago
