Château de Bligny

Grande Réserve Brut Champagne

Very nice bubbly found at our local grocery wine dept..$29.99! Throw in the $10 employer gift card for working the pandemic and 25 cents fuel all makes this bottle a memorable celebration indeed! 🤣
I am enjoying this bubbly..1st time! Nice red delicious apples, pear, peach and brioche! Great length and nice acidity to counter the fruit! I would get this again!

La Grande Côte Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2019

The aroma is not the aggressive, one-dimensional, superficial kind one gets from the surface, but more pervasive, wider and deeper kind coming from the core layer of minerals. It has an internal complexity and a sense of Burgundian completeness and unity. — 4 days ago

Vigna Grande Vinding Montecarrubo Syrah 2017

Lyle Fass

Big, expressive nose, roasted notes but still fresh, charcoal, gamey, meaty, olivey, ripe, spices, really not subtle and very exuberant aromas. Palate is juicy, concentrated and complex. Structured, sappy and deep. Long, finesse and linear. Best of these yet. Seems they look a leap between 12/13 and 17. 9.2 for now. Air will help. I’ll be back.

Juicy and complex palate. Really layered. Juicy and deep. Balanced, pure and fresh. Awesome. 9.2 to 9.3.

Noces D'Or Grande Champagne Cognac

Highly complex. The nose is rich and fruity with notes of toffee, plum, prune, raisin, and cigar box. On the palette, gingerbread, plum, raisin, violet, and cigar box. — 13 days ago

Château Le Grand Moulin

Collection Grande Réserve Blaye Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2018 vintage. Another spectacular value from the Côtes de Bordeaux, this time from Blaye. From 79 hectares of vines on sandy gravel soils. A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet sauvignon and 5% Malbec. Again I feel sorry for owner Jean François Reaud that he has to sell such a good wine at silly prices (4,95 euro consumer price!). Even at twice the price it would be great value. Subtle nose with ripe black (blueberries, cassis) and red fruits (raspberry) with a subtle floral touch. The taste is amazingly elegant, the fruit is fresh and crisp, with a good soft tannic backbone, some complexity, moderate alcohol (abv. 13%) and very good length. Extraordinary value. Alexandra Grande Cuvée Rosé Champagne Blend 2004

Lovely bottle, which was given to us compliments of the club lounge concierge 🌹✨ This was my first time having this selection and it was quite delicious. Rich, deep, well-rounded, and plush. Paired nicely with a sushi presentation. — 19 days ago

La grande Vallée Chablis Chardonnay 2017

This wine has a nice array of succulent and vibrant pomaceous and stonefruit with an even more impressive nose of cherry and apple blossoms. Marzipan, chalk, and perhaps a slight botrytis note balance the rest of the nose and palate. Impressed by the rather overt character upfront and how easily it glides across the palate with the brisk acidity here. Seriously punching above its weight and seriously regretting only buying 1 bottle. — 2 days ago

Domaine Francois Lamarche

La Grande Rue Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1998

Tasted blind. Reddish scarlet center with reddish tawny rims. Spicy fruit nose. Dark cherries, rhubarb, Asian spice, dark soil and gravel. Comes across as masculine and powerful. The silky nose is followed by a young fruit and chewy mouth experience. Lots of dirt and cherries. We debate which region it’s from. Gevrey? MSD? Someone says it’s Vosne but I think it’s 95 Ponsot Griotte. This wine needs more time to soften its edges. — 20 days ago
