Cider straight from the source, Patrick of Patois disgorged this bottle for us when we visited his production site in the spring of 2020. Fun and lovely co-fermentation. — 15 days ago
More precious than gold. Dark and brooding; you sip, begin doing that instinctive nodding thing, and tasting, tasting, tasting. Count on @Mike Smith to deliver the goods. Wonderful 2017!@Patrick Derdeyn 2018 — 2 years ago
Rich gold in colour, surprisingly crisp & fresh on the nose. Cool, mineral, with wet stones, a hint of moss, shy tropical fruit. The initial matchstick reduction blows quickly off. There‘s a fresh young hazelnut note and some saltiness. Like a baby Mersault.
On the palate this is quite broad with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Juicy acidity, nice energy & depth. Broad yet not rich nor overly sweet. Great balance. GLove the finish, lingering on the midpalate, salty lemons, just going on & on.
This might lack a bit the precision or sophistication of a good Cru Mersault, but is really nice, esp. at this price point!
Delicious stuff!!

Nose has a touch of honey, Meyer lemon, white flowers. Refreshing acidity. Tons of minerality, lemon and touch of honey again. This has room to develop, but drinking so well right now. Did I say refreshing!? — 9 days ago
Deep purple at first. Decanted, notes from 2 hrs open. On the nose: cured meat, blackberry, toast, and a touch of charcoal. On the palate, good acidity, olive brine, smoked meat, loads of blackberry. Fimish is a touch short, and could be more dense, soft tannin on the finish. Very varietally correct, but just lacking something. Not bad. — 2 years ago

Such a delicious value. This vintage is ripe and fruity to start with lots of violets and just a hint of black pepper. Earth shows with some air. — 4 years ago
