I enjoyed this wine slightly more the first time I had it — expectations were too high! It’s still a well-constructed burgundy but it would benefit from some bottle age I think. Too bad it’s so hard to find library burgundy, and I’m too impatient to cellar it myself when I buy it! — 2 days ago

Drinks beautifully, my first bottle ever from this producer, very fine tannins, fwd fruit, violets, cherries, raspberries with nice acidity. Drinks well today but please wait 3 to 5 years. — 2 years ago

I’ll be honest: I enjoyed this slightly less than the Domaine Coquard, above. But I don’t know if that’s a product of it being ‘18, or if it being Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet. It’s still a marvelously well-constructed wine, it’s just tart and tight. For better or worse, my favorite burgundy flavors are the secondary ones — the leather and game you get in older wines. — 2 days ago

Beautiful nose of baking spice, earth, flowers, cocoa, black currant, black cherry. On the palate, dry, dark fruits such as black cherry, black currant and some dark chocolate. Tannins are upfront so this use some cellaring. Nonetheless, a beautiful pinot noir to pair with a hearty Boeuf Bourguignon. Cheers! — 5 months ago
