Côte de Nuits Villages Pinot Noir 2019

Elegant plum and strawberry and a bit raspberry, violet. Black direction, so a bit deep. Acidic and spiciness. 2019 @1600, domaine, 220722-220728 — a month ago

Old Vines Saint Georges Zinfandel 2019

Love this wine! If you are expecting a punch in the mouth fruit bomb…. Go elsewhere. This is all about finesse. Dusty red fruit, very expressive bouquet, medium tannins. — 2 months ago

Les Vaucrains Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2011

Quite reticent on the nose. Opens up over time. Light bodied and fresh. Grippy blue fruit and minerality. A hint of iron. Quite steely fruit and a decent finish — 15 days ago

You want to hate on Beaujolais? More for me, I say. Totally excellent table red for $12 or less. — 3 days ago

Clos de la Maréchale Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2007

This has really developed since my last btl showing sweet red fruits, lots of spice, earth, mineral & rose petal. Another great 07 that hit the spot. — 15 days ago

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé

Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Musigny Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1991

bought on release, given away compared to current pricing, opened tonight. Gorgeous wine from the get go with room to run, super nose of iron, a bit of meat, licorice, dark fruit, all echoed on the palate, dark fruit and plum, hints of smoke, just gorgeous. Silky palate. Wife rarely has more than a glass or so, but tonight kept pace with me the entire bottle, emptied too quickly. 91 reds are a forgotten vintage, far better than considered when released in the shadow of 90. — 13 days ago

This is a great bottle!
Agreed on '90 dominance, can't say I've had any '91's yet, but I'll find some with careful storage. 🤞
