This wine would deserve more reputatuon in my personal opinion.
If you don't know that it ages in clay amphora on the skin for quote a long time, if you don't know that is biodynamic and that altogether there very minimal intervention in the whole process you would just go...WOW!!! It reminds a Chassagne-Montrachet for elegance and balance, a good one i mean
Complexity is there, easy drinking and potential to age. Quite long too. What more do we want? Price for the quality is fair, not cheap, bit not overly expensive(arou d 40euros served in a restaurant) — 4 days ago
Terre di San Leonardo is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (40%), and Carmenere (10%), run by the Gonzaga family since its inception in 1724. Wine is fermented with ambient yeasts in concrete tanks and 20% is aged in French oak barrels. Ruby with aromas ripe red fruits and florss as k notes. On the palate flavors of rich plum and blackberry with herb, light spice and slight earthy notes. Medium+ finish, fine soft tannins, ending with fruit, floral and earthy mineral character. Tremendous value! — 13 days ago
Frisk och fruktig, lite syrlighet. Bra sommarvin. — 8 days ago
Such an interesting wine. Subtle, discreet and delicate but at the same time packed with flavour. White flowers and elderflower dominate but there is citrus and stone fruit present. Light woody notes and salty minerality round this off. Very balanced and nuanced wine. — 20 days ago
Popped and poured. 100% Teraldego from a 5 acre parcel and aged in amphora. At this stage the 2014 “Sgarzon” pours a nearly opaque, garnet color. Let’s be clear, there’s definitely some VA, but there is some absolutely gorgeous pomegranates, tart dark brambles, earth, and stewed plums too. A very pretty wine that reminds me why I am so smitten by Elizabetta‘s wines. For my palate, this is showing better than it did back in 2017. Very Italian…but with some Burgundian sensibilities. But even that isn’t fair. These wines are singular. — 16 days ago
My first my first GW from Italy. Know the region did not know they produced this varietal. Very tasty. Good balance and you get the floralness that is a trademark of this grape. I will buy again. — 3 days ago
