The 2019 Maggiorina is such an engaging wine. Dark and mysterious, with striking complexity, this Nebbiolo/Croatina-based field blend is an absolute winner. Wild black cherry, lavender, sage, menthol and dried herbs grace the Maggiorina with striking complexity and nuance. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2022)

Takes 30 minutes and then wowza yowza. Nose is stunning. Sappy and pure. Red cherries, hint of caramel, dust, sawdust. Wild mint. Old tea. Stunning. Palate has laser like focus. Great freshness and acidity and early to mid season cherries and decaying leaves. Elegant and perfectly balanced. Long finish and velvety, sweet and almost resolved tannins. Great energy and presence. Lovely hit of opulence in the mid. Tannins are sweet and silky but gain more substance with air. Got decades left — a month ago
Bramaterra! Resurrected subregion up north produces a delicate, fine Nebbiolo blended with some native grapes. Underripe strawberry, brine, and bright acid. Floral and light bodied. Tannins stick around. Cool!! — a month ago
The best Amarone I have ever had! Blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina. Dark ruby color with a hint of red around the rim. Lovely aromas of black fruit, violets, baking spices, and cocoa. Full pallet of dried fig, black plums, black tea, and herbs. Earth and mineral notes on the very long finish. Creamy texture. Tannins are a bit chewy but not over top. Everything about this wine is totally in harmony and no one flavor dominates. Unbelievable! Thank you for sharing this one Kasey and Petey! — 12 days ago
Nicely rustic. Blend of Barbera (65%) and Croatina - aka Bonarda (35%). Intense aromas of peat and freshly tilled loamy soil with hints of savory spices and dark fruit. Pallet is full of black cherry and black pepper with a touch of noticeable oak. Hint of smoke on the medium finish. Light on the tannins and acidity but well balanced! — 2 months ago
