Has improved over past vintage & still at 11$. Slight grainy texture & fine tannins, maroon/red-black color. Medium to light viscosity with small red berry fruit predominant-but surprising depth, like a Beaujo Villages on steroids. Strong enough acid, & the mid palate wobbles but for this price, it’s Valencia rocks. Served slightly chilled on one of those 90 degree days, East Coast. — a month ago
Definitely would buy this again. It has a "holiday" vibe that I really enjoyed. It is a slightly sweet wine with a nutmeg tone to it. From the Wine Voyage, Variety pack from Costco. (Open Door Policy| Red Sangria | product of Spain | unknown year) — a month ago
Dark rubi color, in the nose cherry, blackberry, vanilla, subtle notes of mint. Typical rioja velvety. On the palate round and complex with grippy tannins, plums and cassis. Really nice wine. Great quality for the price. — 2 days ago

Lovely. Deserved its 91 point rating. Dry, rich, complex. Certainly buy again — 14 days ago

Altado Monastrell represents one of the most modern expressions of Spanish wines on the international wine scene. The concentration of the Monastrell grape combined with the arid territory of the South-East of Spain and the significant elevation of its vineyards, creates a generous and high quality wine. To the nose it delivers jam of red fruits and spices, almost finished with a smoky touch. On the palate it is a fresh, round and concentrated wine, with evident notes of blackberries with a finish of cocoa and mint. Bottom line: a lot of wine at a great price. — 5 hours ago
