Pale lemon in color. Medium light intensity nose of lemon and white peach. Medium intensity palate notes of lemon, pear nectar, white peach, quince, and white pepper. A medium bodied, salty, sipper with medium alcohol and high acid. — 7 days ago
Gorgeous nose. Luscious dark black cherries and darker red cherries. Ethereal and heavenly. So deep and so enveloping. Gorgeous dusty tree bark, some soy as well. Stunning. Best village nose of any Buffet Volnay I’ve had. The fruit clarity is off the charts. Superb complexity and freshness and the fruit is way redder on the palate. Amazing compact quality and so pure and balanced. Complex and so mineral. This is profoundly delicious. A lithe but substantial structure. Gorgeous saline aspect on the nose. Wow the mineral/fruit combo is only something Burgundy can do at this level. Now the florals are kicking in. What sweet, velvety tannins. A beautiful bottle of Volnay. — 7 hours ago

Complex with grapefruit and cheese notes intertwined. — 11 days ago
Charcterful niiiice white! Honeymelon and lichie with a long taste on the palate. Starts a little bit musty on day one. So maybe give some air to enjoy without any disturbing mustyness. — a day ago
Punchy. Some tropical notes- lychee, lemon, peach, salinity on the nose. Good balance in the mid palate and good length. Atypical but good. — 3 days ago
Pretty purple dress. First superb nose both fresh and peppery on small black blueberry, blackcurrant, violet flower; then more surprising notes on mountain climates and stink in Switzerland for me. It evokes more southern notes of syrah, such as Cornas, St-Joseph, bacon and smoke without the graphite charcoal side. Really a beautiful cuvée that connects two types of syrah usually tasted. The mouth is fluid. Cuvée full of charm with certainly cold extraction to infuse the fruit to the maximum without excess alcohol. Congratulations Switzerland once again! 🙏🇨🇭
Jolie robe pourpre. 🙏🇨🇭 — 25 days ago

Always one of the most elegant 1er Crus in Volnay. Nose is a bit reticent as we start off with light cherry and some herbals plus some sweet black cherry fruit. Also some reduction which will blow off. Lovely bramble desiccated leaves and super wet earth and soil tones. What a palate. Teeming with energy and freshness. Wow great acidity here and tremendous fruit. Terrific inner mouth aromas and stunning sapidity. So elegant and structured with incredibly deep fruit. What length and seriousness! This is the first 2020 i’ve tasted that needs 3-5 years in the cellar. Amazing sweet tannins and they are so finely knit like a cashmere sweater. This is brilliant! I’ll be back as it opens. — 7 hours ago
