Brasserie d'Achouffe

La Chouffe Belgian Golden Ale

Now that I’ve earned my stripes with over a thousand wines… Here’s my first, ever, beer post. Belgian strong pale ale: coriander, sweet tangerine, honey, toasty, classic Belgian yeast. Love this beer. Cheers. — 10 days ago

Brasserie Dupont

Vieille Provision Saison Dupont Belgian Farmhouse Ale

Bottled 10/2021. An old favorite not had in years. I remember this being fresher with more citrus, playful. This edition is maltier, not quite as lively. Still delicious and a good match with homemade shawarma. To paraphrase Fernand Point— is it Saison DuPont that has changed, or have I? — 6 months ago

It’s very good but a bit high ABV (>11%) and viscous for my taste. — a day ago

‘20. Has been awhile for me drinking the gueze. Very nostalgic nose that takes me back to drinking at Spuyten Duyvel circa 2007. — 2 months ago

I think this exists for about a year and a half or so. Very nice indeed.

More or less the only beer that can outrank some wines. Number one in its class

Bottled 28 March 2018. Blend no. 42. Season 17/18. Shared by @Bryan Frey for a delicious nightcap and to honor Armand’s passing on 6 March. Just a perfectly balanced, funky, citrusy, earthy lambic. Best before 2038, but there is no way I could get my hands on enough to test that date as they would disappear well before then. — 6 months ago
