Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1945

Tasted blind. Deep amber tawny color with a powerful nose. Exotic. Notes of red cherries, old cedar desk, plum, mint/menthol, cinnamon, and a little molasses. Tannins fully resolved, leaving silky juice that got better and better over the evening. At first this seemed like it was a bit past its prime, but with a ton of air over the day/night, this powered up and reminded us it's one of the best bottles of grape juice ever made.
