Oops, forgot I had this so recently. Oh well, very different from previous btls and not nearly so oak dominant. Definitely ripe with sweet apple and meyer lemon, but well-integrated lemon chiffon. On the palate: fantastic acidity, sweet citrus, soft mint, velvety mouthfeel, and a tarragon, sweet apple finish. Without a doubt my best btl so far, but still nothing like the 14, 16 or 18. — 12 days ago
Bousset America st Helena. 11-14% abv. Really enjoyed with homemade pasta with ragu. I was going to save this and have 2019 but accidentally opened this one. Oops. It was so good. — 5 months ago
Oops, meant to cellar this one for a few more years but opened it by accident to celebrate Biden's inauguration. Wow! Cassis and dried cherries on the nose. Dark fruit and spice notes with a smooth mouth feel. I'll have to grab another bottle to replace it and be more patient with it. I think it will be worth the wait. — 8 months ago
Idk if it’s because we accidentally left this in the fridge for 5 years lol oops but it was AMAZING. Citrusy and goaty, with acidity and sweetness totally in balance. Tasted like misty summer woods. — 21 days ago
10 years of aging (oops lost in the cellar) has treated this 2011 surprisingly well it has lost the smoky notes I tasted a couple years ago and in its place is an earthier blackberry red currant which is quite pleasant. Still has a great silky mouth feel. I decanted this for 2 hrs, tasting every so often and I'm not 100% sure when it was drinking it's best.
Drinking 2011 in 2021. 8.9/3.9 — 5 months ago
Stunning. That’s that! Oops you need to let it breathe for an hour or more — 3 months ago
Oops, forgot I had this in April. Drank alongside a '14 Roulot Bourg Blanc, and paired with a pasta with morel and scallion (light) cream sauce, with some seared scallops on top. This was far and away the better pairing, but it was fun to contrast the two '14s. With the cream sauce, the perceived acidity was perfect for my palate, so an excellent showing, really showcasing the minerality and citrus. Yeah it's Tuesday, but many pandemic-related restrictions were eased today here in cali. What that actually means remains to be seen... — 3 months ago
