Being the #winemaker at #vinosdelviento I feel a kindred spirit to this winery. A very interesting #uruguaywine #uruguay — 6 years ago
Better when young but in fine shape. A touch oxidized and missing acidity but mellow and tasty. #bodegagarzon #albarino #uruguay #garzon #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago

Interesting wine - lesser extracted, medium body. It’s got a reticent nose but once it opens up there’s dark bramble berry, some cocoa and tobacco on the palate and an unexpectedly bright acidity finishing in robust tannins. This is my first experience with #uruguay #tannat and I like it. — 6 years ago
Deep purple and opaque. Nose is full of blue and black fruit, chocolate, and dried herbs. A full bodied palate coats your mouth in a delicious way. Firm tannins with silky edges. Medium acid. Medium complexity. Juicy length. A very well made and serious wine of incredible value. Perfect for an #asado #tannat #uruguay #bodegagarzon #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
An attempt at #pinotnoir which is more in the #trousseau camp on the nose. The palate is bitter and not much else. #familiadeicas #uruguay — 10 years ago
Lacked typicity and had some funkiess. #uruguay #sauvignonblanc #primadonna — 10 years ago
Interesting #uruguay red blend from #canelones region. A few days after uncorking it’s evolved nicely. Substantial black/purple bramble fruit aromas up front followed by an understated earthy, leather character and some mushroom notes. Plump acidity on palate, less fruit and more coffee, licorice finished by rounded tannins. 70% #malbec 30% #marselan - interesting wine found from a friend at a South American grill restaurant. — 3 years ago
In fine shape and quite interesting. #familiadeicas #uruguay #tannat #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
Brawny and intense, as I expected, but well made. Plenty of oak but the wine had a strong personality to go along with it.
The color is a dark red core with red edges.
The nose is smoky, with campfire and toasty oak, with black cherry, plum and spice. On the palate the tannin is firm and dusty, providing for a stern frame for the fruit, tar, and spice. My first Tannat, reminded me of Malbec from Argentina. #tannat #uruguay 🇺🇾 — 10 years ago
