Vintage 2017 / Vignerons du Narbonnais à Ouveillan. I am fond of curious grapes. #Marselan is a crossing between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. I gave this Pays d’Oc an hour in the decanter and was surprised. Deep dark colour, a warm and spicy smell, a balanced taste with a velvety structure and good acidity. — 6 years ago

Interesting #uruguay red blend from #canelones region. A few days after uncorking it’s evolved nicely. Substantial black/purple bramble fruit aromas up front followed by an understated earthy, leather character and some mushroom notes. Plump acidity on palate, less fruit and more coffee, licorice finished by rounded tannins. 70% #malbec 30% #marselan - interesting wine found from a friend at a South American grill restaurant. — 2 years ago
