Lost my #richebourg virginity to this baby. Very exciting but failed to fully deliver. #drc #burgundy — 11 years ago
#DRC #Richebourg 1966: out of the gate its nose was as compelling as the accompanying La Romanée-Conti 1996, the former displaying an explosive and complex swirl of mature cherry, brown sugar, and leather. But ten minutes later that leathery aspect began dominating the others and the wine started a deep, unexpected decline, its sexy sweetness fading like a volume knob twisting to off. We marveled at this unusual shift, continuing on to our final glasses. Another surprise came at the end the Riche partially returned to the sweetness and succulence of its first moments. A true experience. The color was beautiful and well intact. The nose bursted out of the glass with incredible complexity and elegance. Sweet black fruits, paprika, smoke, mushrooms, and just dying flowers dominated the nose and palate. The structure was well intact with silky tannins, fine acidity, and present alcohol. The wine just kept on going for at least 45 minutes in the glass and length on the palate was equally impressive. #drc #DRC #domainedelaromaneeconti #grandsechezeaux #cotedenuits #pinotnoir #burgundy #1947 #ctbucklinwine — 10 years ago

Off the charts an amazing tasting experience for me. Check out the shipper stamp in the bottom left. This producer no longer exists, DRC bought them out in the 60s.
As for the wine, a beauty she was with haunting and funky notes of dried red fruits, forest floor, savory and mushroom. The palate was plenty live, the mid palate and finish gained weight and depth with an hour of air and the neck cracked. Elegant and silky tannins carried the wine to a pretty and persistent finish. #vosne #romanéestvivant #grandcru #1970 #leroy #drc — 11 years ago

I tasted this #1985 #grandsechezeaux from #drc last year at this time. There has been some nice development. It's heavily perfumed with good intensity and concentration. The palate has some very nice meat and sweet fruit qualities. This will keep developing. #burgundy #vosneromanee #cotedenuits #pinotnoir #domainedelaromaneeconti #ctbucklinwine — 10 years ago
Still a baby for sure but a beautiful bottle of Pinot to say the least. A first for me to enjoy a glass rather then just a taste. #burgundy #icon #drc #msclassic — 10 years ago

A completely different bottle than the one I tasted 14 weeks ago. This was deeply intense and incredibly complex on the nose. Sweet red and black fruit, spice, dried herbs, and red flowers. Abv was elevated on the nose. The palate was vibrant and powerful for about 15 minutes and then slowly faded out. This did not have the structure of the #1947 #drc #grandsechezeaux I tasted next to it but the palate was just as sweet and was very complex. Also phenomenal length. #princeflorentdemerode #corton #pinotnoir #burgundy #cotedebeaune #ctbucklinwine — 10 years ago
