Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Best BG ever for me.
Color intact, medium ruby all the way.
Nose is classic Red Burgundy, but with a lift that reminds me of Vosne-Romanee, earth, berries, perfume like elegance and presistence.
The palate is sauve, with elegant, silky and refined red fruit, subtle spice and good length. Not a stunner but absolutely Burgundian.

Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru Chardonnay 2002

Still quite fresh after 13 years. Slightly baked green apple on nose and palate. Super mineral, salty, savory, hints of floral honey, white peach, with subtle oak and butter on the long finish. #leroy — 4 years ago

Howdy, Delectable crew. For your categorizing purposes that is actually Domaine d'Auvenay instead of Maison Leroy

Romanée St. Vivant Controlée Pinot Noir

1970
Off the charts an amazing tasting experience for me. Check out the shipper stamp in the bottom left. This producer no longer exists, DRC bought them out in the 60s.
As for the wine, a beauty she was with haunting and funky notes of dried red fruits, forest floor, savory and mushroom. The palate was plenty live, the mid palate and finish gained weight and depth with an hour of air and the neck cracked. Elegant and silky tannins carried the wine to a pretty and persistent finish.
