Wine #13 of quarantine — 6 years ago

A fresh nose of ripe red and black fruit with purple flowers. Slight meatiness. More complexity than the #13 The palate was quite lively with the wine jumping around. Med acid with firm tannins and a fine finish. #trombettafamilywines #sonomacoast #pinotnoir #ctbucklinwine — 10 years ago
Textbook Bordeaux blend. Visually, there are mild signs of bricking. Nose has notes of leather, dust and cigar box.
On the palette, sandalwood and light cherries are pronounced. Finishes with balance and verve.
Yeah, that's the Ridge winemaker sucking up to me!

Soft, round cab. Very ripe, with a chocolate/cocoa note. Heavy on the palate, with some zing. This is good, especially at $20; I suspect they dose it with some merlot. Pandemic bottle #13. — 6 years ago
Wine #13: Nice Pauillac. Cassis, black currants, stewed plums with some anise. — 10 years ago
More elegant than the other vintage. Long finish. Gordons tasting #13 — 10 years ago
Probably at its delectable best; this #margaretriver #chardonnay from #cullen ; colour with bits of brass says so; and palate has nice brulee-roast nuts; more aged fruit aromas than first stage types; acid taut keeping it medium bodied and no more; a good drink with coral trout; #kevinjohn #biodynamic #13.5% #AUD105 — 10 years ago
Much more going on on the nose and palate with the #13 Apples and meat on the nose along with the menthol. The alcohol was restrained on the nose and palate. The structure was there but less firm. Good length. Unfortunately the bottle had died a couple of hours later when tasted again. #trombettafamilywines #pinotnoir #sonomacoast #gapscrown #ctbucklinwine — 10 years ago
Margaret River; blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc; so rounded, so peachy almost possible to detect varietal traits, so the blending is impeccable; streamline of juicy, minty, contained but delectable fruit flavours, wood plays little influence as does tannin; makes it more gulpable for masses; no tannin backbone, just juicy softness; #newwave #drinkaussie #drinkwa #westernaustralia #margaretriver #capementelle #wilyabrup #cmf #AUD50 #13.5% ; Wilyabrup is a sub-region of Margaret River known for top cabernet; interesting way to name a wine. — 11 years ago
