A light, floral red. A little thin, but well made. Lemon, raspberry on the nose. Fuller on the palate. Glass #5 at Asta with Marmot #1. — 2 months ago

#5 Whoa! This is a light, thin but potent dram. There is a lot of peat on this one. It’s young and in your face. — 6 months ago

Dunn Vineyards

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1996

Tasting of nine 1996 Cabernets, Merlots and Bordeaux blends from California, Bordeaux and Australia. Surprisingly the Dunn came out in the middle of the pack at #5. had a candy aspect that was interesting. — 5 months ago

Ravines Wine Cellars

White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling 2017

Wine #5 from my mixed case of Finger Lakes wines. I love the wines coming out of Ravines. This Dry Riesling from the White Springs Vineyard is absolutely delicious with notes of ripe juicy green apple, citrus, white peach, fresh cut green grass, lemon verbena and limestone. There is definitely some residual sugar here, but the medium plus acidity balances it out nicely. Cheers! — 6 months ago

Noble Select Magdalena Vineyard Riesling 2012

Wine #5 of the night. Certainly not the most complex of desert wines but pure yum. Sweet creamy peach and apricot with velvet soft acidity and a short finish. — 10 months ago

Dehlinger Winery

Estate Bottled Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2007

Tasting of 10 of the 2007-2011 Dehlinger Pinots. Eva Delingher was kind enough to join our tasting and answer all of our random questions. I found this to be super fragrant but a bit short on the palate - #5 for me. — 5 months ago

Tetramythos

Phellóe natur RED BLEND 2016

Greek wine evening, wine #5
Reminiscent of a Cerasuolo di Vittoria, chalky, dried, dusty cherries with a healthy pinch of dried herbs and this lovely earthy character.
Surprisingly light in the palate, with lovely acidity, pure light cherries and lively character.
This is so nice - so drinkable, with great interesting edges all around. Brilliant!
