The #11 is having some issues with aging. Edges are quite faded and the alcohol was very present on the nose as well as the palate. Menthol and chocolate were the dominate notes with some ripe fruit. Med + tannins were edgy and the acid was med. Lacked balance and length. #trombettafamilywines #pinotnoir #gapscrown #sonomacoast #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
Highly extracted but incredible concentration and depth of black and red fruit with great spice. For 14.8% #abv this is well balanced. This is absolutely delicious and showing so well right now. #trombetta #sonoma #sonomapinotnoir #pinotnoir #sonomacoast #gapscrown #usa #california #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
A tight and compact nose and palate that was not showing too much at the moment. Black fruit dominated with chocolate and spice. There was some bitterness on the finish. #trombettafamilywines #pinotnoir #sonomacoast #gapscrown #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
A profound and ripe nose driven by black and blue fruit. Alcohol is present but not overwhelming. The palate had med complexity but was quite tight with a sturdy structure. Again, chocolate and menthol and a strong acai berry note. Length was not too long. #trombettafamilywines #pinotnoir #sonomacoast #gapscrown #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
Plenty of power and will need some time to soften out and come together. #kostabrowne #pinotnoir #sonomacoast #california #gapscrown #california #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
Much more going on on the nose and palate with the #13 Apples and meat on the nose along with the menthol. The alcohol was restrained on the nose and palate. The structure was there but less firm. Good length. Unfortunately the bottle had died a couple of hours later when tasted again. #trombettafamilywines #pinotnoir #sonomacoast #gapscrown #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
This is an extremely impressive #chardonnay with a profound nose that is full of spice, flowers, and perfectly ripened fruit. The palate is tight but just as complex and exciting as the nose. Med + acid, med + alcohol that is well integrated. Oak is present but in an appropriate way. The length was outrageous. #trombettafamilywines #sonomacoast #gapscrown #california #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago

A younger and easier drinking #pinotnoir with med intensity and alcohol present on the nose. The palate was fat and round with red and black fruit. There was a slight buttery aspect. Less complexity and concentration than the #gapscrown but very tasty. Med length. #trombettafamilywines #sonomacoast #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
