Much more going on on the nose and palate with the #13 Apples and meat on the nose along with the menthol. The alcohol was restrained on the nose and palate. The structure was there but less firm. Good length. Unfortunately the bottle had died a couple of hours later when tasted again. #trombettafamilywines #pinotnoir #sonomacoast #gapscrown #ctbucklinwine

More color than in the Sonoma Coast offering shows immediately, a deeper and darker shade than the Sonoma Coast bottling. The nose is a little more savory, too, with more tea notes but still offering a basket full of bright fruit. The palate shows darker, but it does not go near what we might call “bold.” It is deeper and richer, again with food-friendly acidity to die for. 8 months oak 25% new.
