2019 vintage. Acidity/tannins evident and über-present from start to finish. Tasted through the first few vintages in the early ‘90’s but haven’t come across this producer since early 2000’s. Stylistically, (thankfully) still the same. Plenty of earthiness, grip and punch evident with sustained, old Zeppelin feedback on the finish. Really nice. 05.07.25. — a year ago
Been breaking out some fun wines deep from the cellar to keep spirits HIGH during the stay at home Cali mandate. Day 10 is no exception......time for dinosaur steaks and a 2009 Bryant Family!!
Decanted 1 hour. An arresting deep dark garnet color(lots of cloudy sediment). On the nose: caught me completely off guard with stewed meat, black olives, band aids, some licorice, red berries, and floral. Taste: Wow, this is singing "Stairway to Heaven " ....no garage band version, this is Led Zeppelin 1970s!! Dark cherries, chocolate, espresso, tobacco.
A Mark Aubert beauty with fine, silky tannins coating the mouth. An elegant, rich, soft wine with a long toffee/blueberry finish — 6 years ago

Cloudy and grey to red-brown Amber through the pour. Leesy-teasy. This voluminous lady sprung a shock white, unexpectedly pure pate. Cinnamon baked apple and caramel are soft suggestions initially. Barley and malt cameo as themselves with a whole jar of raw honey and ginger snap crumbles. These aromas are deceptive. She’s not that sweet, really. She snaps between a mineral texture and a pretzel bun with a Hawaiian bread middle. There is lingering almond butter after a briny lemon and a citrus tea that drags it all back. There is a decidedly German depth to the beer, which embraces a baked bread quality, but this is lean and sleek, sidestepping the heartburn of some styles. Hazelnut oil, almond flower, pecan, and sunflower seed persist in a lees-y postlude. #brauereimaxliebinger #unfiltered #zeppelin #germanbeerday #deutschland #Deutschebier #bier #beer #lees #strangebrew #gettheLedout #Hindenbeerg — 8 years ago
Black as night, wet animal fur (in a good way, I swear) and earth-worm-laden earth lead a palate as big and smooth as a velvet zeppelin. Black berries, dark undergrowth and tangy tannins till dawn that just translate to a nice long finish. So yummy, loved a fatty veal chop! — 9 years ago
Certainly not what I expected from a Pinot Noir....it was even better!! Served at my super hip hotel in San Francisco. Hotel Zeppelin — 10 years ago

Softest Shiraz I’ve had and not fruity at all. — 8 years ago
Last night, this top-three-wine-of-my-life, from the one of the greatest hands ever to prune a vine, the mythical Burgundian Henri #Jayer 🇫🇷 , who was an inspiration to so many great winemakers (including those of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti). Jayer was the template, the prototype, doing pure, unfiltered, minimal-intervention wine long before it was even a thing. Drinking this 1959 Jayer #Richebourg was like getting to listen to the original master tape of Zeppelin IV 🎸, experiencing it exactly as the artist intended, with elevated highs, more resonant bass, and sharply delineated nuances 🎶. Even after 58 years, it was fresh and generous, a veritable Roman candle 🌋 of plums, cherries, spice, and smoke. It had this minty-woodsy character than reminded an artist at the table of “Arches watercolor paper” and “India ink”. To me, it was like the best forest you have ever smelled -- Muir Woods 🌳 in a glass. Its velvety finish rolled on forever, and only after about 40 minutes did its overall taste finally start to fade. This wine had everything. 🙏 — 8 years ago
Makes me want play Led Zeppelin on vinyl. Thanks @Gerald Montoya — 10 years ago
This wine was produced when Led Zeppelin released Kashmir, and Queen released Bohemian Rhapsody. Letting that sink in as I swirl the glass.
The cork was slightly depressed, and it fell apart, so I had to do some first aid. All is well. The wine pours out a very deep garnet at its core, with tawny edges. So far so good.
The nose is old, and I was afraid of the musty notes, but I think it's healthy tertiary aromas, not spoilage. Mushroom and forest floor. I don't have a lot of experience with 50 year old wine. Hey, I was made the same year this wine was!
The palette is excellent. Plenty of fruit present.. cherry, candied apricot, slate, and Flintstone vitamins. It tastes young! If I had this blind I would guess it's 20 years old.
No sediment or silt. This still has hefty acidity and lingering, cedar-like tannins. Crazy. I've had current bottles bottles of Chateau Caruel, which is an inexpensive wine, and they just don't make them like they used to. This wine is legitimately elegant and delicious. 30 minutes in, and I'm wondering where I can buy a case. What a fun experience!

1989 Jory Winery's "Red Zeppelin" is a gas! The label alone is worth 100 points. Neck label features "The Emperor (Bob III) has no nose" A Red Zeppelin crashing in a vineyard (a la Bonny Doon - Cigare Volant) is priceless. The back label says that "tickles and tantalizes the palate. It gurgles as it slips down the alimentary canal. It warms the cockles of the heart, and burns the sensitive lining of the stomach." The tasted like old (27 year) red wine but this is a piece of history. A treat but not quite perfect. — 10 years ago

Really dark fruit and a splash of mint. To quote Led Zeppelin and the legendary @Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego , you gotta whole lotta oak, you gotta whole lotta oak 🎶
