A Change of Heart Kékfrankos

Ruby red color with red pepper and rose on the nose. Rose, on the nose... is as delightful as it sounds. Savoury, medium bodied with a well balanced lip-puckering-give-me-more acidity. A bright, easy going, stable wine to throw on the table at anytime. Your friends will love it. Sounds like the perfect boyfriend. Happy to have a little splash of Hungary in my little Copenhagen kitchen. Köszönöm to Vin de Table 🇭🇺 — 9 days ago

Zafír Dülö Historical 1er Cru Vineyard Dry Tokaj Furmint 2017

Light golden hue. On the nose this is like spätlese or auslese riesling with combination of apples, lime, wet stone like minerality. Maybe some hints of ripe white currant. On the palate it has just a tick of residual sugar with high acidity keeping things almost austere before fading and giving the sweet fruit to take center stage. Hints of oak giving creamier mouth feel and light sensation of vanilla. Aftertaste turns bit tangy towards end before leaving with very pronounced granny smith apple taste that lingers on for almost a minute. This is very interesting combination where the nose suggest sweeter wine where as the palate is almost completely dry. Very food friendly and worked fabulously with our risotto that had grilled turkey breast, zucchini, herbs and blackhorn mushrooms — 7 days ago

Tokaji Furmint És Harslevelu 2018

Jakab - Tokaji Furmint És Harslevelu 2018

The first nose is made of ripe pear, then beeswax, white flowers and a buttery thing in the background. Quite inviting and complex. The palate is well designed with a strong acid drive and a very tight front. There is a bit of pear and lemon all around. It becomes very wide out of a sudden to form a sphere in mid palate, with almost a tannic touch on the sides. Pear all along and a very long fruity finish, with that almost tannic touch and a tiny bit of bitterness in the end. That buttery thing which could be felt on the nose is present all along too, and more specifically in the end. Wow this is unexpected. This is high level!

Somlói Hárslevelu 2013

A honeyed, aromatic beauty. Grilled pineapple, apricot, and white peach, pain grillé, marzipan, lychee, rose petal, clay pot, acerola cherry, sandalwood. On the palate, it’s viscous with notes of beeswax and lanolin. Salty homemade play-doh. Savory with bright acidity and a long, honeyed finish. This is a wine I really don’t want to end. — 14 days ago

Görögszói Szekszárd Merlot 2017

Deep ruby red. Upon opening nose has dark berries, cherry and blueberry jam. When wine opens up the nose picks up more deeper tones. On palate this is midweight, with nicely balanced acidity, full of sour cherry, granberries, blueberries, black currants, powdery if firm tannins giving shape towards the end. Wine leaves granberry, cherry and some peppery tones on medium+ aftertaste. This is medium bodied well made and food friendly wine that clesrly benefits from few years more in the bottle to develop complexity. Good stuff — 5 days ago

Mandolás Tokaji Dry Furmint Blend 2017

Lovely with a bit of air. A bit of wood on the opening—thankfully this fades as the wine opens up. Fragrant, great minerality. Almost Chablis-like. Lemon, oyster shell, great acidity. — 20 days ago
