Cork went backwards into the bottle, but was intact. Lovely medium-red color, faint bricking on edge, dried red fruits, subtle American oak, very suave on the palate, yet still shows some tannic grip into the long, lingering finish, I’ve long adored these 1980s/early 1990s Pesquera “regular” Ribera del Duero tintos, which avoided the much more lavishly oaked Janus Riserva cuvée, and most amazingly, how long these $18-20 regular cuvées will age!! — 14 days ago

Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spice and toasty notes, aged for 14 months in oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with licorice, cacao and spicy oak notes. Balanced acidity, fine chewy tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. — 4 days ago
Show stopper. 59 years old and still providing an amazing experience. Never faded during our tasting. Elegant nose and complex mouth with a long, lingering finish. — 2 days ago
C'est du haut niveau sur du fruit mur. La mûre, les notes viandées, le sous bois, une bouche tapissante, une longueur folle.
Un tout petit excès d'alcool à peine domageable. — a month ago
Pure power. Extra long finish. One of the best Unicos I’ve tasted. — 2 days ago

Was surprised by the vivacity and overall performance of this wine at this age. Well integrated and matured, soft and shining.
Magnificent. — 10 hours ago
